About Alan Kitty - playwright/actor Kitty has been impersonating Mark Twain since 1979. He has been called an 'accidental scholar' because his original intent was simply to put on a show without having to worry about the venue or a thousand details that could doom a larger entertainment. The unintented result of this first effort was four different shows, countless original speeches, and a motivational business seminar that inspires creative thinking in an environment of change. Currently, Kitty is working on an educational Web series "Web Adventures of Mark Twain" in which Twain will perform scenes from his classics. The series also features a live webinar discussion about influences on Twain's writing. Other works by Alan Kitty include "Bing! A Musical Review," "Elective Behaviors," "Landscape," and "Stormfield Diamond Mystery."
The series will be funded, in part, by public donations. This will make the program available to underserved school districts at no cost. To make this possible, the producers have partnered with the not-for-profit arts funding organization USAProjects.org. Funding will also be made available through Habitat for Humanity and Row4Life.org
