MARK TWAIN'S FRIENDS

Traveling to present a program or show can be grueling. However, the pleasure of making friends with the people in towns and cities all over the country far outweighs the challenges of touring. Some of the stories told during a show may be peppered with elements from these encounters. The rule for including such elements is that they must comply with Twain's observation, "Truth is stranger than fiction because fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities. Truth is not."

Kitty remains in character during photo ops with fans. So the friends in the slideshow at left are likely to go home and read everything they can find about Twain. At the very least, the event experience becomes an indelible memory.
